Linda Nadge is the visionary Owner behind Outback Astronomy, a premier astronomy tourism experience located on the outskirts of Broken Hill in a dark sky area. With a deep passion for stargazing built upon decades of self-tuition and research, Outback Astronomy shares knowledge and provides an unforgettable experience for those who appreciate stargazing.

Owner/Change Consultant – Outback Astronomy
Outback Astronomy launched in 2014 as part of Linda’s aim to bring positive, place-based change to the place where she lives. Outback Astronomy is an information and entertainment business. It is also a place of learning for anyone interested in the space above.

 

Linda’s past roles of note:

  • 2010-2012 Chief Executive Officer, Regional Development Australia, Far West NSW
  • 2006-2008 Commercial Manager, Perilya Broken Hill Ltd
  • 1997-2005 Executive Management roles including A/Chief Executive Officer, and General Manager for Regulation, Risk and Compliance, for power and water utilities Broken Hill (various names, including Australian Inland Energy and Water)
  • 1989-1996 While in Papua New Guinea held a training role in News Corporation for two years, then five years in an Executive Management role including A/Chief Executive Officer at various times, in the Investment Promotion Authority

Linda’s broad professional management and business development experience, supported by a bachelor’s degree (QUT) and a master’s degree (UNSW), both business and commerce-related, facilitated creation of exceptional tourism experiences and makes her a valuable addition to the board of DNCO, where she can contribute unique Outback NSW insights and innovative ideas to enhance the organisation’s mission.
